Prep pupil Highly Commended at Poetry Competition

Felicity entered the National Poetry By Heart Competition again this year. She had to submit videos of two poems from a set list (one pre-1914, one post-1914).

She recited "Colonel Fazackerley Butterworth Toast" by Charles Causley, and "Inversnaid" by Gerard Manley Hopkins. There were thousands of entries and she was awarded a Highly Commended certificate and got some great feedback! "You grasp the words with power and hold eye contact marvellously well." "A fun performance of a fun poem!"
