Event

Have you got what it takes to compete in one of the toughest endurance tests in the UK, organised by former members of the Special Forces and ex regular military personnel? The Midlands 30:30 is a fundraiser for SSAFA, the oldest tri-service military charity

The physically arduous and intellectually challenging night navigation exercise involves yomping across the beautiful countryside around Denstone College and into Derbyshire with each member of the team carrying 30lbs and covering 30km or 30 miles. Nia Linnell, Head of Outdoor Pursuits at Denstone College and an ex-army officer, is organising the event.

We are pleased to be welcoming back to defend their title last year’s winners, from ‘SAS who Dares wins’. Also joining us for the first time at the College for the event are two teams from the Ghurkhas and two teams from Bear Grylls’ Adventure.

Teams, which will include pupils, parents, staff and Old Denstonians, will set off at intervals on a circular route from the College on Saturday 16 February 2019.

Anyone wishing to enter a team in the event can find out more on here.

This is a good opportunity to challenge yourself, and make up for over-indulging during Christmas and the New Year whilst raising money for a good cause.
