Congratulations to the following pupils on receiving recent musical achievement awards
Harriet Pickering – Grade 5 Piano – Pass
Joseph Thompson – Grade 6 Bassoon – Merit
Michael Sinka – Grade 8 Piano – Distinction (Michael also achieved Grade 4 in the Organ)
Alice Copestick – Grade 8 Violin – Merit
A special mention goes to Alice Copestick who has received an associateship of the Royal Schools of Music Diploma in singing. This is the first professional level examination and is unusual for any student still at school. It entitles the award holder to append the letters ARSM after their name.
This is a tremendous achievement by Alice, and is richly deserved.
