Congratulations to former pupil Robin Grey, who has landed his dream job; a job which he has dreamed of since the age of 12.
Robin, who is in the final year of his degree, is now working as a part-time Sports Journalist at BBC Radio Stoke. The role is a 12 month contract and will see him working Fridays going to press conferences, setting up programmes and in due course, possibly, presenting BBC Radio Stoke's new programme Extra Time (7-8 Friday evenings). This will be about trying to get new voices on BBC Stoke with more sports than just football, it's a great opportunity to find some new exclusive stories from the sporting world.
Robin was delighted to have landed this position against strong competition, with the Editor and Assistant Editor saying it was one of the best interviews they had ever seen.
‘I am very grateful to those of you who have helped me achieve this, there is a lot of work ahead and hopefully this is just the beginning’.
