Denstone College OD visits Barrowhill Hall Nursing Home

Max Barker (OD (only just), Woodard House and a Senior School boarder, volunteered at Barrowhill Hall Nursing Home as soon as his A Levels were over.

He travelled each day from Denstone College to Barrowhill. Max gained lots of experience in support of his medical ambitions, he enjoyed socialising with the residents and spent a good amount of time re-instating the grass tennis court.He suggested getting in touch with Denstone Tennis Club to arrange some friendly matches for residents to watch. This happened today, much to the delight of the residents. Mr Horan (Head of Senior School) played as a member of the men’s team.
