We are excited to announce that Denstone College have been accepted to host an ‘Introducing Swimming to Children’ course for the Independent Coach Education group. (#ICE_Kendal)
The course will take place on Tuesday 7 March and will be open to teachers in the local area.
Teaching children how to swim is one of the most important lessons in the school curriculum. This is reflected in a specific National Curriculum target that everyone should be able to swim 25 metres by the end of Key Stage 2. This course provides teachers with the correct tools to confidently deliver their lessons that will achieve this aim. It is suitable for specialist and nonspecialist teachers involved with teaching children to swim.
