Where can I see the term dates?

Term dates are published well in advance and we ask parents to observe them. They can be found on the website.

When is an Exeat?

Each term, two or three weekends are designated “Exeat” weekends. On these weekends, school finishes at 4:30pm on the Friday, so that pupils are able to enjoy a relaxing and restful weekend.

 

Does Denstone College run a bus service?

Yes, The College runs an extensive network of buses, serving pupils across Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Buses arrive at Denstone at 8.30am and leave at 5.40pm. On Wednesday afternoons, the buses leave at 4.15pm, but parents should be aware that upon occasion pupils may be involved in fixtures that finish later, and will need picking up at those times. On Saturdays, buses arrive at Denstone at 9.15am, 45 minutes later than during the week. Buses do not run on Saturday afternoon, so parents are asked to pick up their children at approximately 4.00pm, depending on their games commitments.

 

What types of boarding do you offer?

Boarding at Denstone offers great flexibility, tailored to the needs of modern family life, ensuring that school and home work together. Pupils can board on a full, weekly, flexi-3, flexi-2 or occasional basis, with Termly Boarding offering day pupils a chance to try boarding for a full term. The key is in taking the best aspects of this system and fitting them to the individual needs of the pupil and their family. Find out more by contacting admissions.
