At Denstone College, we have a word to describe our pupils, parents and staff, it is Denstonacity. This is a noun which describes us as having ‘the ambition to explore every possible version of ourselves.’
As a College and Prep, we want to empower our community into being able to make a difference in the word, creating role models all around our campus.

Woodard Schools
The Woodard Corporation is a significant charity founded on the vision of Canon Nathaniel Woodard, providing high quality education in an actively Christian school environment for all. Today, Woodard educates over 30,000 pupils across academy, independent and state-maintained schools. Our aim is to be the educational provider of choice and a valued voice in UK education.
We aim to bring out the very best in everyone. A Woodard education champions the cause of child-centred holistic learning, paying particular attention to the development of the whole person: spiritually, morally, culturally, academically, aesthetically and physically.
This means that education begins at the point of the child’s needs and places a high value on developing self-respect and self-esteem. Many of our young people successfully compete on the national stage in the field of academia, sports, the arts and culture.
Our family contains some of the highest achieving schools in both the public and private sectors, including a number of national Teaching Schools. We make it a priority to give a high level of professional support and development for our teachers, so that every young person receives an excellent education. Our school leaders contain a number of National Leaders of Education and national subject specialists. Through being a group we can offer more to both young people and staff than a single school could offer alone.
