Week 6 Head of Prep Newsletter

Dear Parents,

I trust this newsletter finds you well. It was truly wonderful to see so many of you during a positive parent evening this week.

A massive thank you to everyone who attended the Prep 5 MacMillan coffee afternoon. Together, we managed to raise an impressive £236.26!

I would also like to express gratitude for your cooperation with our new signing out procedure. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring our children's safety. Starting Monday, Main Prep pupils in clubs will be signed out from the far-right side of the Prep, near the welly store. Meanwhile, Pre-Prep pupils in after school clubs will continue their sign-out process from the far left of the Prep. Should a child not be picked up from an after-school club, they will be taken into after school prep and can be signed out from the Main foyer door.

Hartley House Prep and Junior boarding is now fully open and is available for Full, Weekly, Flexi and Ad-hoc boarding options. This boarding offering allows a fully flexible approach to boarding for all occurrences from late finishes, single events, travel distance from home and unforeseen events. If you are interested in finding out more about boarding in Hartley House, please do not hesitate to contact Ms Kim King on [email protected]

Just a gentle reminder, as per our school policy, please ensure that all pupils with long hair have it tied up.

Please make a note of the following dates:

  • Monday 16 October - Pre-Prep will be leading the Harvest Festival in Chapel.   Parents are warmly invited to join us for this service.  We ask that you arrive in The Lodge from 0835 where you will be greeted by Reverend Darren.
  • Thursday 19 October -  Flu Vaccination, please remember to complete the consent form sent out earlier this week.
  • Friday 20 October – Non-uniform Day for Beeches House charity, Rainbows Hospice.  Your generous donations are always appreciated.

Park Runs

Well done to so many parents, pupils and siblings who took part over the weekend. Please do continue to keep this challenge on your radar and keep those points coming! The Half Term break contains three Saturdays, and it would be lovely to see many new faces take part.

Do remember that the Prep will close early next Friday for half term.  Children can be picked up from 1545, there will be no after school clubs and after school care will close at 1630. School transport will leave at the earlier time of 1630.

Thank you once again for your continued support.

Best wishes,
